The Grateful Pumpkin!

It's the GRATEFUL PUMPKIN, Charlie Brown!

The Pumpkin Season is in full swing here & I'm so excited! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Autumn!

I'm off to help at the PTA Bookfair (which I'm so happy not to be in charge of this year! *grin*) in a few minutes but I thought I'd show you this cute little 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" album that I made last week.

To make the Album, I used:

Chocolate Chip Cardstock

Pumpkin Pie Cardstock

Whisper White Cardstock (Inside Album Pages)

Haiku Designer Series Paper

Wide Oval, Curly Label, Key Tag, Word Window & Cropadile Punches

Baroque Motifs Stamp Set, Thank You Kindly Stamp Set

Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink

Always Artichoke Classic Ink

Chocolate Chip Classic Ink

Accessories:

Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon

Vintage Pewter Brads

Color Spritzer Tool

Paper Cutter

All Products are Stampin Up! (and available HERE!)

I actually made 7 of these as a giant greeting card large enough for 50 women to write a note in for the Missionaries serving from our ward. But the possibilities are endless! I've been toying with the idea of taking one up to my moms for Thanksgiving & having everyone write a note in it & then putting a picture of them on the opposite side.

But if you want to do a MINI size version of this album, here's an idea for you too:

For the flower, I used the 5 Petal Punch, the Large Star Punch & a Gold Brad. The Ribbon is the 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon & the DSP is from the Haiku Series too.

Ok, I'm off to the Bookfair!

Toodles!~

Whacky SiX!

The Rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you (Desi tagged me).

2. Post the rules on your blog (this is what you are now reading).

3. Write 6 random things about yourself (see below).

4. Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them.

5. Let each person know they have been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.

6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

Ok, so here's my random things:

1: I don't have a favorite color! I'm not a big fan of bright yellow, but in the right context, like everything else, it's absolutely PERFECT! I do tend to lean towards bright red and purples (eggplant in particular) when choosing something nice to wear because I look HIDEOUS in earth tones. But when we are talking about colors in general, I find myself so GRATEFUL that God gave us so many beautiful colors.

2: I really am a deeply spiritual person. Most people might find that hard to believe because I tend to be kind of goofy and loud. But I LOVE a good spiritual conversation (NO DEBATES though, because the spirit can't exist in a place of contention). I enjoy learning and listening (and reading) of all things spiritual. One of my favorite blogs to read is my friend, Valerie's. Such wisdom and insight. Her MIL was my FAVORITE YW leader & I find myself learning from Valerie the same way I did as a young girl from Eloise.

3: I love flannel jammies but HATE flannel sheets. And let me warn those who love both.....don't combine the two! LOL Did you know that you can become your own flannel board character when wearing flannel jammies and going to bed in a flannel sheeted bed! Yes, I learned this the hard way! And I think Darren still gets the giggles when this story is told, because all he can remember is hearing: DARREN! HELP ME! I'M A FLANNEL BOARD GIRL THAT CAN'T TURN OVER!!!!!

4: The first time I turned on a computer was at the ripe old age of 24! (I've come a long way, baby!)

5: If I could develop 2 talents that I don't have they would be to be able to dance and play the piano. For years I have secretly wished for a piano for Christmas.

6: I love taking pictures, but after receiving so much "trash" about taking them, I have stopped taking pictures at all family events. Sad, huh? I shouldn't let them get to me, and I secretly want to take bad pictures of the ones that have been the most ruthless and scrapbook them, but ultimately I don't because I don't want them to hurt as badly as they've hurt me with their comments. So I just don't do it anymore.

And two more, just for fun!

7: This is my number....it follows me EVERYWHERE! But I think it was "destiny"....LOOK.... How many letters does my name have? SEVEN! Ok, now check out the day I was born: 5/22 (or more specifically) 5/22/1969 5+22=27 and 1+9+6+9=25 which breaks down to 2+5=7! Everytime I look at a clock its either 7 something or the numbers equal 7! Lately EVERYTIME I buy something or have anything to do with numbers they are my birthday numbers: 522. CRAZY!!!! I can't say it's my lucky number though! Odd numbers drive me INSANE!

which is why I can't end there! ha ha

8: In my perfect world, this is the perfect number! Look how balanced it is, the same on top, the same on the bottom, divides evenly, enough for everyone....PERFECT I tell ya! PERFECT! LOLOLOL I have this thing with even numbers. When I go to the store, I have to buy things in even numbers, preferably in lots of 4's! (4, 8, 12, 16 etc).

Ok, so there ya have it....CRaZY ol' MeL!!!!!!

And "the crazy one" tags: Valerie, Janeal, Jenna (who just had the cutest little Savannah baby EVER!), Shayla, Kelly, and YOU! If you are reading this and your name isn't listed....consider yourself TAGGED! Fill it out and let me know so I can read your whacky Six!

Have fun! Can't wait to get to know you better

She's BAAAAAACK!!!!

In the spirit of celebrating Halloween I thought I'd jump in and say BOO!!!

So, what have I been up to? Well, in a word: STAMPING!!!! And more specifically "Stampin Up!"
In February I signed up to be a Stampin Up! Demonstrator & I haven't totally consumed with designing and preparing class projects, orders etc. It's been so exhilarating!
Let me show you a few of the Halloween projects I've done this month.
The first is a Trick or Treat Jar made with our SPOOKY Vinyl Decor Element. If you have 5 minutes you could totally have one just like this in your house. It's the only spider I want hanging out in my house!
And guess what he's guarding? Yup! These sweet babies!......

They are like those little sour cream containers that you get for your baked potato at fast food restaurants. But these are holding CANDY! (OF COURSE! It's Halloween Baby!) For the first couple of days after I made this Carson would take the lid off of the jar, take a good whif of the chocolately goodness inside & exclaim: "Smells like a happy Halloween to me!"

Wanna meet my new friend? His name is Fun Times Frankie! Isn't he DREAMY?!

We made Frankie at our last club meeting and everyone fell in love with him too! And of course he's filled with Sweetness too!

So that's what I've been up to! If you want to know more about making some fun & creative projects of your own, contact me or visit my website !!!
Happy Halloween! It's so good to be back to Blogworld!
